students in study abroad classThe program in foreign language education prepares individuals to be teachers in pre-Kindergarten through twelfth-grade settings. Language programs offered are for Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian and Spanish. The program combines general education courses, professional education coursework, language specific courses with multiple field experiences in secondary schools.

Dr. Mary Lynn Hamilton will present Obligations to Unseen Children: Finding Compassion, Presence, and Imagination in Teaching and Teacher Education for the Budig Lecture Series on November 20, 2014 in 150 Joseph R. Pearson. Dr. Hamilton is the recipient of the Gene A. Budig Teaching Professorship for 2014-2015.
