Admission

DEPARTMENT OF CURRICULUM AND TEACHING APPLICANTS SEEKING CONSIDERATION FOR ADMISSION MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. A COMPLETED GRADUATE APPLICATION form submitted online including non-refundable application fee. Apply online at the KU Graduate Application site.
  2. ONE OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT of all your undergraduate work including your degree conferral and any graduate work you have completed. Should your undergraduate GPA be between 2.5 - 2.75, you also need to include a letter confirming one year of full-time professional experience in addition to the letters of reference or an official transcript with at least 20 hours of graduate work and a minimum GPA of 3.0. A copy of your transcript (considered unofficial) may be uploaded with your application for review purposes, but admission decisions cannot be processed without receipt of the official transcript from each institution attended.
  3. THREE LETTERS OF REFERENCE from people who can comment on your ability to complete a master's program of study -- not character references. The persons listed as references on your application will be sent an electronic notice when you submit your application. The notice includes a link to the reference form and allows a letter to be uploaded with the reference form.
  4. A CAREER GOAL STATEMENT and a RESUME.

Pearson. Dr. Hamilton is the recipient of the Gene A. Budig Teaching Professorship for 2014-2015.
